Happy Monday everyone and welcome to the start of a new week! The NBA All-Star Break is almost here so fantasy owners will want to finish the first half strong! Tonight’s six-game slate is solid and features a few different routes to go for a potential edge. As always, this article covers a few of those routes, so you can be the judge. Without further ado, let’s get to work…

LaMarcus Aldridge has been ruled out for Monday night’s tilt against the Jazz, and while the individual matchup against Rudy Gobert is not favorable by any means, Pau Gasol is still a fantastic play. First off, Gasol is insanely cheap as his price tag has depreciated all the way down to just $4,800. Secondly, Gasol has been excellent without Aldridge since the start of the year, averaging 29.2 minutes per game (MPG), 14.5 points per game (PPG), 11.0 rebounds per game (RPG), 4.5 assists per game (APG) and 35.3 fantasy points per game (FPPG) in a two-game sample. The Jazz rank second in defensive efficiency versus opposing centers but Gasol is destined to touch the ball significantly more with Aldridge out of the picture and he can rack up fantasy points in many ways (other than just scoring). At this price point, I would start him against anyone, and tonight is no exception.
