A lot can actually change this game, because it’s entirely possible James Johnson gets suspended after throwing a punch last night. Then you have Tyler Johnson questionable. One might say Johnson and Johnson can change this games status. You have to like Hassan Whiteside’s price with a potential James Johnson absence looming, in a quick paced matchup with Indiana. Whiteside was limited in his first meeting this season, but his minutes have gone back up to at least 30, and in his four meetings prior, he had averaged 54.5 DKPPG against Indiana, who will now be without Myles Turner. The Sabonis matchup seems even better for Whiteside on the glass, and with his price below $7000, he’s someone that could win GPP’s tonight at a very low ownership.
Speaking of Sabonis, he might be our first must of the night. Even at $6400, Sabonis has averaged 33 DKPPG without Myles in seven games, while averaging 1.3 DKPPM this season against Miami. Seeing 30 minutes per start, it gives him a pace of around 40 DK Points, which coincidentally is how much he went for on Miami earlier this season, over 30 minutes, without Myles Turner. His ability to step out and hit jumpers is possibly the only weakness about Whiteside’s defense, so expect Indiana to utilize that part of Sabonis’ game.
