Over-worked Writer at RotoCurve
I'm Josh Gross and I broke into RotoCurve with my weekly PGA article, before expanding into NBA for my daily game by game breakdown discussing any inactive news, picks, etc. This season, I've started MLB as well with a weekly Saturday piece. My favorite DFS sport is NBA, and I want DFS Tennis to debut ASAP.

MLB is back! As most of you know, I will be writing MLB each weekend. Unlike last season where I wrote only on Saturdays, I’ll be covering both Saturday and Sunday this season. In MLB, I discuss my top option at each position, rather than game-by-game breakdowns. Admittedly, my MLB article’s mainly focus on cash games, as I believe cash games are the best way to build up your bankroll. Typically, I’ll have multiple players from the same team in the write up, which will hint at which stack I like the most for GPP’s.

Other than the MLB Membership, which is available at RotoCurve, you can visit our Marketplace for Keg’s Player Pool, Josh Collacchi’s On The Bump column, and Adam Pfeifer’s Drill Down!

With Minnesota already PPD as of this writing, and Detroit, Cleveland, Washington looking like washes, then Boston, New York, Chicago, and Cincinnati all having a chance to play, but at risk of wipe out, I’m going to focus as much as possible on the latter foursome of games, as well as KC, MIA, TB’s games to limit any players written up that will end up being PPD.

This is an ugly looking slate. And amazingly, it looked great at first glance, but weather is turning it into a disaster. The hope here is Maldonado is in the lineup. Considering Rene Rivera drew the start last night, logic says Maldonado is in there today. Rain should be long gone by first pitch, but it’s going to be horrible playing conditions, with gametime temperatures around 30 degrees and 20+ MPH winds. The good news is these winds will blow out towards the left field foul pole. A pure punt here, but Skogland has long struggled against righties, allowing a career .460 wOBA and 43.6% flyball rate, while the hard hit rate sits around 37%. It’s definitely a formula for disaster with winds so high, and we’ll look to sneak in a home run with a low cost catcher.
